First up is the upcoming Reaper Mouse from Ideazon. My first impression of this this mouse is amazement. Mostly the looks caught my eye which is one of the main reasons of choosing the right mouse. Beyond the looks of this mouse, there are several features that I like. With the typical left click, right click and mouse wheel click there is also three programmable buttons you can customize for all your gaming needs. Most gaming mice have these options but many do not have a seventh button to switch DPI “Dots Per Inch” “400 - 800 -1600 DPI Modes“.
The worse thing that irritates me is when my mouse sticks because the rubber bottom pads stick or slip. When I was reading over the product information I received from Ideazon is that this mouse has a Non-stick Teflon mouse feet. After I wipe up my drool from my keyboard and close my jaw. I bet this feature will increase game performance and handling inside game.
Sorry for lack of pictures but head over to the product page and check out the Reaper Gaming Mouse.
Overall Score: 7/10
The G5 from Logitech is our second mouse.
Talking about DPI earlier in the Reaper mouse. This mouse has a whopping 2000 DPI which is amazing but the lack of button control was a little harsh especially for this $70.00 dollar mouse. The one thing that could trump the Reaper mouse is the Adjustable weight cartridge that this mouse offers. Not many mice offer this feature and if adustaing the weight is your thing then I would choose this mouse. The smooth design of this mouse lacks appeal but will be outweighed by the speed and handling.
Overall Score: 6.8/10
The last and one of the best designs I have seen is the Razer Mice from Razer Zone. The mice from Razer Zone offer several things. Apart from the 2000 DPI, magnificent color scheme/design, the several programmable buttons “7 to be correct” and the Razer Copperhead pro-tools to to customize your mouse. Wait did I just say tools to customize your mouse. Using this tool will void your warranty but be well worth if it. I was not able to get my hands on this mouse or tools but I bet you can do tons of things with it. Head over to the product page and see for yourself.
Overall Rating: 8/10
If I had to choose one keyboard and one mouse from this collection. Well, I could not really put my money in just one. I chose the Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard and the Ideazon Zboard. Both give a wide variety of function and design. The hardest part I had on deciding was on the mice. I finally settled on The Reaper from Ideazon. The look of this grabbed my attention but was the overall function that took the cake. Mmmm cake. The RazerZone mice was a close second but the price cut me off. The G5 mouse from Logitech may have had some good function but the design needs to be improved before it catches my eye.
Design and function are both qualities I look for in my gaming products. Even if the functions out weight the design, I still will not purchase the product. Design is a huge part in being a gamer.
